Mosel, a beautiful German shepherd, is the First Dog of Arkansas. She is an outside dog, although she has been known to charm the State Police into letting her into the security house. Her official duties include keeping the neighborhood cats out and inspecting the landscaping, as well as being the official greeter of all guests to the Mansion. During her off-hours, Mosel enjoys lazing by the fountain, where she can sometimes be seen dipping her paw and taking a fresh drink. Hot summer days will find her cooling off in the sprinklers. Mosel’s favorite pastimes, though, are begging for treats and having her tummy rubbed by the First Lady.
